Support Assistant
Last Updated: October 17, 2026
The short version:
- Today every support reply comes from a person on our team.
- If we add an AI assistant to help answer support, this page says how it works.
- It would only help: a person stays responsible, and you can always ask for one.
- What it says isn't a promise from us. Refunds and account changes are decided by people.
- Messages it reads go to our AI provider, xAI, and are deleted after 30 days.
How Support Works Today
Right now, every reply to a support email, a message from the form on the Support page, or a call to 315-898-1257 comes from a person on our team. As more people cook with Gusteau, we may add an AI support assistant to help answer faster. This page explains how it would work, so nothing about it is a surprise. We'll update the date at the top, and say so on the Support page, when it starts. This page is part of our Terms of Service and goes with our Privacy Policy.
This is separate from Gusteau, the chef in the app. Gusteau's AI and Cooking Safety covers him.
What the Assistant Is
The support assistant is an AI that reads messages sent to Gusteau support ([email protected], [email protected], and the form on the Support page) and either drafts a reply for a person on our team or answers simple questions itself. It runs on a model from our AI provider, xAI, with instructions and limits we set. A person at Wyzie LLC stays responsible for support and can step in at any time.
What It Can Help With
- Signing in, sign-in codes and account questions.
- Plans, the free trial, allowances, billing dates and how to cancel.
- How a feature works, and where to find something in the app or on the website.
- Reading a screenshot of an error, and pointing you to the right page or next step.
- Gathering the details a person needs to fix something for you.
What It Can't Do
- It can't make decisions for Wyzie. It can't grant refunds or credits, change your plan or bill, close or restore an account, or make exceptions to our policies. A person on our team decides those, and confirms them in writing.
- What it says isn't binding. If it gets a price, a date or a policy wrong, our Terms, the Refund Policy and the Pricing page are what count.
- It can be wrong or out of date. Check anything important, and ask a person to confirm it.
- It doesn't give cooking, medical, legal or financial advice.
People Stay in Charge
- Replies about billing, refunds, account changes, security or a complaint are checked by a person before they're sent.
- A reply written by the assistant without a person checking it says so.
- You can always ask for a person: reply with "a person, please", write to [email protected], or call 315-898-1257, 1 PM to 7 PM Eastern. A real person replies within one day.
Your Messages and Data
- To read and answer your message, the assistant uses what you wrote, any screenshots you attach, and the account details that come with messages from the Support page (described in the Privacy Policy, under When You Write or Call). The parts it needs are sent to xAI to produce the reply. By writing to support while the assistant is in use, you agree to that.
- The assistant's conversations and drafts are kept for up to 30 days, to check its quality, fix problems and stop abuse, and then deleted. Your messages themselves stay in our support mailbox as the Privacy Policy describes.
- It never sees your password or card number, and you should never send them; we'll never ask for them.
- We don't sell your messages, use them for advertising, or use them to train AI models.
Using It Fairly
Don't try to trick the assistant into ignoring its instructions, revealing other people's information, or promising things for us. Promises made that way don't count. The Acceptable Use Policy applies to everything you send to support.
